We want you and your child to feel at home at Westside Christian College Kindergarten (WCCK). Adjusting to a new environment can be challenging, so we create many opportunities for your child and family to develop a sense of belonging here.
Our staff bring a Christian approach to teaching. Objectives center around nurturing growth and development for each child—irrespective of abilities or beliefs—in a loving environment where interpersonal relationships and learning through play are valued.
Bridging Home & School
Our staff like to collaboratively plan learning opportunities with children and families. We take time to get to know your child’s strengths and interests. Our holistic approach considers your child’s cognitive, emotional, social, physical and spiritual development.
Learning Through Play
Here, we don’t differentiate between a time for learning and a time to play. Instead we believe there’s a vital connection between the two. We encourage children to use their imagination and express ideas as they explore more of the world around them.
Learning to Play Together
One of the most important considerations for children in their Kindergarten year is social wellbeing. Through interactions and play, we help children learn about how to get along with others, and develop skills of sharing, taking turns, and caring for each other.
