Year 12 Legal Studies students satiated their passion for justice at the annual Year 12 Legal Studies Conference, held at Griffith University.
Students jumped at the opportunity to hear a keynote address from Lynne Weathered, Director of the Griffith University Innocence Project. Students asked important questions and listened intently to legal experts from Red Cross, Harrington Family Law and Walker Pender, among others. Year 12 student, Skea
Martin said, “It was a really worthwhile excursion. It reminded me I could practice law with passion.” Staff and students benefitted from the conference, with Legal Studies teacher, Mrs Smits commenting “the students were great. They asked hard questions. They engaged with the presenters at the workshops. We learnt a lot today.”
