Could you answer a complex maths question on the spot? Could you do it in front a panel of judges? Could you do it in front of several opposing teams from the best schools in Ipswich? Year 7 and 8 students at Westside can.
After weeks of preparation, four Year 10 students from Westside Christian College will today descend upon UQ’s Queensland Brain Institute to compete in the state finals of the Brain Bee Challenge.
Whilst most students spent their holidays relaxing, Joshua Pratt was competing. Crouching toe-to-toe and barrel to barrel with the best shooters in Australia. And it was well worth the effort.
